Exploring pattern and colour

Our first week back, we spent a little time looking at shape, colour and pattern as we will be designing our own patterns later in the project and looking at the printed fabrics produced by the Textile Barons in Carlisle.

Using the three primary colours of red, blue and yellow with the secondary colour green, we cut shapes, some were geometric such as squares, rectangles and triangles.

We used complementary colours and moved and rearranged our shapes to make simple patterns.
